Your Help is Needed to Support the Homeless
The Van Buren Center is a shelter for the homeless in Columbus that was opened in the summer of 2014 by the Community Shelter Board.
Community Shelter Board’s network of shelter and housing programs served 12,000 people last year.
WITH YOUR HELP, the Social Concerns Ministry plans to support the Van Buren Center.
We will be collecting hygiene items and assembling Hygiene Kits for people entering the shelter.
Please consider donating the items needed and/or helping to assemble the kits.
The items that are needed are:
Deodorant (2 oz. size)
Shaving Cream (6 oz. size)
Tampons (50 count)
Combs & Brushes
Nail Clippers (small & large)
Tooth Brushes & Tooth Paste
Bars of Soap
BRING DONATED ITEMS TO GATHERING SPACE MARCH 6TH THROUGH APRIL 14TH
With the help of the Holy Spirit and all hands on deck, we can make a significant difference.
If you would like to volunteer to help assemble the kits please contact Suanne Gettings at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at 614-855-1400, Ext. 1017.
