Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration
Behold I am with you always.
Check your schedule and see if there is an hour during which you could spend time with the Lord. Even if it isn’t an hour, come to the Chapel for a few minutes and be in His Presence.
Join us for Eucharistic Exposition and Adoration from 12 – 4 PM in Our Lady of Resurrection Chapel on the following dates in 2017:
April 23 (Divine Mercy Sunday)
June 18 (Corpus Christi)
Each month we will have an Opening Prayer, Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 3 PM, and a closing Benediction at 4 PM. We need at least three people present for each hour.
See the Newsletter (click here) for more details and more opportunities to participate in this wonderful ministry.
We exist to provide an atmosphere of silence where one can encounter the Eucharistic Lord with reverent awe.
We exist to encourage prayer before the Blessed Sacrament so that every hour of every day someone in our parish would be before the Blessed Sacrament praying for our Church and our world in adoration and holy silence.
We exist to encourage Adorers to grow in holiness and in their understanding and practice of prayer.
Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honouring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves "the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us".
During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist ... By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! Like a magnet, The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.
In its fullest essence ... Eucharistic Adoration is "God and Man reaching out for each other, at the same time!"
During this Lenten Season, beginning on Thursday, March 2 and continuing until April 6, we will be having Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Exposition in the Reservation Chapel behind the altar. The hours of Exposition will begin after 9 AM Mass on Thursdays and continue non-stop through to 7 PM on the following Friday – approximately 33 hours of continuous Exposition each week in Lent until Holy Week.
Out of respect for the exposed Blessed Sacrament, we are seeking to have at least 2 adorers for every hour of Exposition. This is a wonderful opportunity to come and pray – or sit in reverent silence – in the physical presence of our Lord. We are compiling a schedule to insure that every hour has sufficient adorers and would very much appreciate your volunteering for some of those time periods. However, even if you cannot commit to a particular date and time, please consider coming to be in the presence of the Lord during this rare opportunity in this special Season. The outside door to the Reservation Chapel will be open during this period so that you can easily visit at any time of day or night.
To sign up for a period of adoration, see a member of the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Team at the table in the Gathering Space or contact:
